Melin Tregwynt - Forest - Welsh Tapestry- Ercol Windsor 477 Evergreen Armchair

Upholstered using Melin Tregwynt 'Forest' Welsh tapestry fabric. The warmth and breathability of wool coupled with a vibrant reversible design makes this pattern a striking addition to any room. We've recently begun working with this beautiful and soft Welsh fabric, chosen for its character and charm. While it hasn’t yet undergone formal rub testing, it's a wonderful option for domestic use. Due to its delicate nature, we don't recommend it for commercial settings where heavy wear is expected.

Well-made and structurally sound that will last a lifetime. This style has a low double bow back, 9 spindles, upward curved arms, webbed seat and cushion.

Wood - desirable blonde in colour, made of English beech, with an oil finish.

Webbing - newly strung with vintage (unused) webbing. We use the traditional Ercol loop and peg method, no staples.

Cushion Covers - hand made to order. High quality material then expertly made. All covers are removable with a zip opening.

Fabric - densely woven pure WOOL, we use vintage blankets as fabric. Natural and sustainable with very little environmental impact. Wool is inherently flame resistant and offers a greater level of fire safety than other fibres. 

Wash Care - machine washable, on a wool wash at 30 degrees. 

Cushion Foam - new foam pads, all our foam conforms to fire regulations.

Dimensions - 71cm wide x 81cm deep x 82.5cm high.

Period - produced from 1962-c.1985.
